A family photoshoot in the desert during sunset creates a specific atmosphere: warm colours, soft shadows and a calm landscape that emphasises every detail. For this session, the family chose matching holiday pyjamas “HUSHABYE” decorated with playful dog patterns, a theme that immediately set a light and cheerful tone. Their actual dog, wearing a Christmas sweater, became an important part of the story, connecting the clothing theme with real interaction on the sand.
The shoot took place in the last hour before sunset. The sun was already low, and the dunes had a muted golden tint. This type of light creates clean transitions between highlights and shadows, and it worked well with the red, white and soft pastel tones in the pyjamas. The sand reflected warm light back onto the faces, making the expressions look natural without harsh contrast.

The children were energetic from the start. They ran across the dunes, climbed small slopes and jumped down from them. Their movement added texture to the session: footprints in the sand, flying grains and spontaneous gestures. Because the clothing was casual and comfortable, the running and playing did not look staged. It became a visual record of a relaxed evening outdoors rather than a formal family portrait.
The family dog played a central role. The red holiday sweater with a simple knit pattern stood out immediately against the neutral background, and the dog’s behaviour was consistent throughout — excited, responsive and often trying to join the children’s games.
The result is a cohesive set of images where the holiday pyjamas, the sunset and the lively presence of the children and their dog form a single narrative — a relaxed family evening captured in one of the most open and minimal environments.
