Umm Al Emarat Park is a landscaped urban park in the Al Mushrif district of Abu Dhabi, located on 15th Street between Airport Road and Al Karamah Street. It opened in 1982 under the name Mushrif Park and was originally designed for women and children. After a complete redevelopment, it was renamed Umm Al Emarat Park and became open to all visitors. The park covers roughly 179,000 square metres and combines green areas, recreational spaces, family facilities, and venues for public events.

The park is organised into several themed zones:
• Botanic Garden: a landscaped garden featuring more than two hundred plant species, pathways, ponds, and shaded greenery.
• Shade House: a climate-controlled structure designed for shade-loving plants, with two upper viewing decks overlooking the park.
• Animal Barn: a small petting zoo with camels, ponies, goats, rabbits, and other animals, with pony and horse rides available.
• Children’s Garden: playgrounds, water play features, and seasonal outdoor cinema screenings.
• Great Lawn: a large 18,000 m² lawn for picnics, sports, yoga, and open-air activities.
• Evening Garden: a quieter garden area intended for relaxed walks.
• Amphitheatre: an open-air stage used for concerts, performances, screenings, and festivals.
• Wisdom Garden: a contemplative green space with memorial elements and shaded pathways.
Cafés and food stalls are found throughout the park, and a permanent outdoor art installation, Jewels of Abu Dhabi, features bronze sculptures inspired by local wildlife.

Tickets, schedule, and parking
Entry costs AED 10 for adults and children over three. Children under three and people of determination with a companion enter for free. The park is open daily from 08:00 to 00:00, with last entry around 23:00. Visitor parking is available near the main entrance.

Nature, atmosphere, and photography
The park combines greenery, mature trees, water features, structured gardens, and recognisable architectural elements such as the Shade House and amphitheatre. These settings create many visually appealing locations for photography.
Visitors with large professional cameras are sometimes asked about their purpose at the entrance. For commercial or professional shoots, Abu Dhabi regulations require a filming or photography permit issued through the relevant authorities. Official sources do not confirm instant, on-site issuing of professional permits. Occasional mentions of quick, free approval online usually refer to casual, non-commercial photography and should not be treated as a formal rule.

Markets, events, and community life
The park regularly hosts cultural and family events such as markets, concerts, open-air cinema nights, festivals, and seasonal programs. One of the notable recurring events is The Park Market, a weekend market held during the cooler months, with local vendors, food stalls, crafts, and entertainment.

Umm Al Emarat Park is a versatile location that blends urban design with greenery and community life. It is suitable for family walks, relaxed weekends, events, and photography.
